why yes, i am ready for some football!

so yesterday was the superbowl (duh) which happens to be one of my favorite things that happens all year.

i almost always have a party and because i can't ever leave well enough alone, i usually cook a lot of delicious (and terrible for you) snacks for it.

this year was no exception.  i made (from scratch) wings, spinach & onion dip and a chili cheese dip.  instead of my usual move of just putting out chips to go with the dips i put out a tray of veggies too and i am proud to report that i ate almost entirely vegetables at the party.

i'm not crazy, i had 2 wings and a small scoop of the chili cheese dip but i never told myself i wasn't gonna eat ANYTHING i made, that would just be cruel.  i am however, really proud that i was able to control myself and not just write the day off.

i won't lie to you and say i was happy to be eating baby carrots instead of chicken wings but the important thing is that i made a choice and i stuck to it and i still had a good time.

for that, i think i get a gold star.


anyway, overall things are going well.  i think my pilates teachers (both of them) are trying to kill me (death by inner thigh exercises?) but that might not be a bad thing because i swear to god, my butt got smaller and i don't think that's ever happened to me.  ever.
